Does Your Body Seem to Be Resistant to Weight Loss? Try This

If you have been trying to lose weight but now you are starting to worry that your body is resistant to weight loss do not give up hope. This article shares some ways you can get your body to burn fat again and drop the stubborn pounds it is holding on to.

Resistant to weight loss

1. Remove refined carbohydrates for the next two weeks. Foods such as packaged snack foods, candy and baked goods break down into sugar soon after you eat them. When this sugar is pushed into your blood your body releases insulin in high amounts to remove it. When your insulin is spiked your body slows fat burning and increases fat making.

2. Keep all carbs out of your diet in the evening. If your body is not burning off body fat it might be neglecting it as a form of energy. The reason is because your body will always choose to break down carbohydrates your eat for energy over the much harder to break down fat.

To get your body to burn body fat again you must keep carbs out of your diet in the evenings. When you do this for the next two weeks your body is forced to break down fat to fulfill it's energy needs.

3. Prioritize exercise. You will need to boost your metabolism to start losing again and a great way to do that is to exercise. Any form of exercise you choose is going to help you burn calories more efficiently but to get the most from your workout try circuit training. This is a type of workout that alternates between aerobic exercise such as walking and jogging and strength training such as lifting weight. Circuit training will boost your metabolic rate and you will find that your body burns fat more efficiently all day long.

4. Eat protein with your meals. Protein will help you stabilize your hunger but it also causes the release of glucagon which is a hormone that can counter some of the fat-making properties that are caused by insulin. If your body is resistant to weight loss do not give up, you can get it losing again when you get these strategies working in your day.
